Retrievers

A Retriever is a type of hunting dog that retrieves game for a hunter. Retrievers are primarily bred to find birds and other prey and return them to the hunter without harm.

Labrador Retriever

Labradors are known for their good-natured and friendly nature. They are willing to work and eager to learn. Particularly in the working lines of the breed. They were bred specifically for hunting. There is one standard Labrador Retriever, but there is an important distinction between ‘real’ working lines, the ‘dual purpose’ lines and the show lines, recognizable by their appearance. Labradors from working lines are slimmer, slenderer and smaller than dogs from show lines, which are heavier in build. Labradors from the dual purpose lines are a combination of working and show lines.
